Glorifying terrorists

Israel’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs has demanded details about the UNSCO funding of a Palestinian Centre named in honour of Palestinian terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who was involved in a massacre in which 37 civilians were murdered, 12 of them children.

The bombed bus

The Deputy Director General for the UN and International Organisations Alon Bar with Mr. Robert Piper, UN Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (charged with coordinating the work of organisations that provide humanitarian and development assistance to the Palestinians). Bar expressed deep concern that UN agencies are involved in glorifying terrorists.

In his conversation with Mr. Piper, Dep.DG Bar demanded details regarding the funding of a Palestinian centre named in honour of the terrorist Dalal Mughrabi (who led the group of terrorists that hijacked a bus and murdered 37 civilians, including 12 children, in 1978). He told Mr. Piper that Israel expects the UN to act immediately to ensure that similar cases will not occur.​​
Norway has demanded funds it gave for the same centre be returned.

 UNSCO is  the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process.
