Rachelle Lever recently attended a Special Religious Education Celebration event held at Parliament House in Sydney, where she was one of 12 recipients of an award recognising their outstanding contribution for excellence, innovation and creativity in the way they deliver SRE to their students. 

Lever has been one of the NSW  Board of Jewish Education’s SRE teachers for over 25 years,

Rachelle Lever’s award was for:

the development of simple but effective teaching strategies which have enhanced the range of student activity options that Jewish SRE teachers have in their delivery of the approved curriculum.

Representatives from across all faiths attended this event, with the support of many NSW politicians, including the Hon. Adrian Piccoli, MP, NSW, Minister for Education and Shadow Minister for Education, Mr Ryan Park, MP.   The event was a celebration of the amazing role Special Religious Education (SRE) has in  the Public Education system, helping to contribute to  the overall development and wellbeing of students.
