Feinberg’s organisation is represented in Australia by the ever-active Shula Endrey-Walder. The Gift of Life is now among the top international registries with more than 170,000 donors on its books. It has been responsible for finding more than 2,100 bone marrow transplant matches world-wide.

Endrey-Walder told J-Wire: “Thank you to those of you who voted for Jay. Apart from a wonderful awareness that this will create about saving lives, the Gift of Life Foundation will receive  $25 000 from the North American Jewish community. This will allow 250 potential donors to be tested and added onto the registry with the hope that one will save a life.”
