A resident of Bani Suheila in the Gaza Strip, was arrested on 31 August 2015 at Erez Crossing for diverting building materials to Hamas for terrorist purposes.

Tamer Ahmed Muhammad Barim, 36, subsequently admitted that in the context of his profession as a merchant, he transferred hundreds of tons of building materials, which had been earmarked for the rehabilitation and development of the Gaza Strip, directly to the Hamas terrorist organisation. Karim was arrested following a joint Israel Security Academy-Israel Police operation,

The transfer of the building materials to Hamas was carried out by circumventing the UN monitoring system that was designed to verify that the materials, which were financed by donor countries and other agencies, were transferred for the rehabilitation of the civilian infrastructures in the Gaza Strip.

The foregoing is additional evidence of Hamas’s cynical exploitation of donated funds and materials that were designed for the rehabilitation and development of civilian infrastructures in the Gaza Strip, for terrorism.

The security establishment views the event with utmost gravity and intends to continue its efforts to foil attempts to smuggle building materials for terrorist purposes and to deal with all those involved to the fullest extent of the law.

Barim was indicted in the Be’er Sheva District Court on three counts of perpetrating crimes against the security of the state, including aiding and abetting a terrorist organization and purchasing items for use in terrorism.

The Government Press Office has just broken the story.

You make good points Harry Rich . I have sent this news bulletin to Chanel
7, Christian radio 98.5fm, Channel 10, Channel 2 and Channel 9 here in Perth,
    Western Australia.
I’ll bet my next pay cheque none will report this information.
But you can bet my next pay cheque after that that Fremantle Labour
    MP Melissa Parke
Will see It and find something positive in it with which to attack Israel.
Antisemites always manage to spread their venom even when the facts
Are squarely reported right under their (despicable ) noses.

An event like this should not only be reported in a J wire bulletin but should be widely distributed in the national and international media.
There are two questions. : Who will disseminate it and who will print
    or broadcast it?
So far Israel has no broadcaster , either radio or television of a stature
which would draw the attention of an international audience.
But we can hope that one day there will be one and it may help to break the
anti Israel stranglehold of the present media.
