JNF Patron and generous benefactor Harry Triguboff AO was in Israel this week for the  inauguration of a garden bearing his name at the Rabin Centre in Tel Aviv.

The garden project and environmental showpiece, designed to introduce a piece of nature into an urban heartland, was identified by Mr Triguboff as a project that “would be a fitting tribute to the leadership of Israel’s slain Prime Minister, the late Ytzhak Rabin z”l.”

“The garden is also a tribute to our generous and loyal patron, Mr Harry Triguboff who has been an outstanding and generous contributor to many of JNF Australia’s ground-breaking environmental projects throughout Israel” said JNF NSW President Alex Abulafia.

Mr Triguboff, the Sydney-based head of Meriton,  was accompanied at the ceremony by his daughters Sharon and Orna as well as a strong contingent of his many Israeli friends and JNF leadership including KKL-JNF World Chairman who unveiled the plaque together with Mr Triguboff.

As part of the ceremonies, Mr Triguboff also planted a tree in the garden which is symbolic of his family’s roots and his solid connection with Israel.
