Frydenberg appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the PM

Liberal Member of Parliament for the Melbourne seat of Kooyong Josh Frydenberg has been appointed one of two Parliamentary Secretaries to elected Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

Frydenberg is the first Jewish Liberal member of parliament to sit in the House of Representatives belonging to the party in power. It is his second term in Canberra.

In the past, parliamentary secretaries to the Prime Minister have been directed to work in areas as instructed by the PM.
