Sydney’s Chabad Double Bay is presenting Friday Night Live this Friday, 2nd September, at 6pm, with an Israeli themed kiddush following the service. It will feature our new Chazan, Shimon Walles.
Shimon Walles
Chazan Shimon Walles, acclaimed international cantor, was born and grew up in Melbourne. Shimon has served as a Chazan in Israel, Germany, USA, South Africa and Australia.
Blessed with a rich lyrical tenor voice, he has inspired and captured audiences for over 19 years. He first began publicly singing solo at the age of 11. Shimon was born into a musical family and so from a young age he learnt the beauty and soul of song and singing. Shimon’s professional technique, ability to sing from the heart and wide ranging voice enables him to sing with dazzling talent.
Shimon’s personality, passion and talent combined with his outstanding vocal ability make him a stirring, inspiring singer. He is a positive person and loves inspiring and getting the crowd involved through his singing.
