This Sunday, July 7, a freedom march will take place around Caulfield Park to mark nine months since the unprecedented attack on Israel by Hamas in which some 1200 people were brutally murdered and more than 240 were taken hostage.

In the days since, family and friends of the hostages, and supporters around the world, have worked tirelessly to keep the plight of their loved ones front and centre of people’s minds, and to demand their release. However, 9 months on it seems people are losing interest in the welfare of the remaining hostages. Nirit Eylon, a spokesperson for the event, said “The hostages are living in a nightmare. We must continue to give voice to their suffering until every single one of them is brought home.”

The march will be followed by a visual display.
