Forbes publishes Australia’s richest
Forbes Asia has published its list of the top 40 richest Australians.Frank Lowy is in second spot behind Andrew Forest. Forbes reports Lowy as being 79 with the co-founder of Westfield shopping centres possessing a personal fortune of $3.6 billion. Meriton boss Harry Triguboff 77, is in 4th spot with $3 billion followed by Melbourne’s John Gandel 75, at number 5 with a reported $2.4 billion.
Cardboard tycoon Anthony Pratt fills spot number 8 with the 49-yr-old’s personal wealth reported as being $1.95 billion.
64-yr-old clothing and retail magnate Solomon Lew is in position 14 with $1 billion and Melbourne developer Maurice Alter 85, holds spot number 33 in the list with a fortune of $62 million.
