Kim Jacobs, president of the NSW branch of the AICC told J-Wire: ” Mission members will have access to high quality business people within the parameters of the mission’s target commercial areas. There have been over 100 missions in the history of the AICC and I have been on 15.  Every mission has produced new business.”

Jacobs told J-Wire that the missions produced a collegiate effect and that historically most missions had produced new business opportunities within the group itself.

Members of the mission will meet with their Israeli counterparts and engage in an exchange of ideas and exploration of business opportunities.

He added: “We have turned our attention to younger members of the business community and plan to sponsor suitable candidates.”

The five-day mission will also meet with Palestinian companies. Jacobs said that although Gaza had been approached “they had shown no interest”.

“We are very proud to have Simon McKeon lead the mission. “He is an Australian business person of the highest calibre and his presence creates added value to what will be a very exciting mission.”
