Feminist advocate Eva Cox, a member of the fabled 1950s group the Sydney Push is featured in one of a new group of 60¢ postage stamps released today.

Born in Vienna in 1938, Cox spent the war years in England before moving to Rom. She arrived in Sydney in 1948. Renowned pianist Hehzibah Menuhin became her stepmother when her father remarried. .

 

She has been a strong advocate in addressing problems women face in exercising power.
