The ERDI Foundation recently recommitted support to Courage to Care for the next three years with a significant investment of more than $200,000.

This builds on the successful ongoing partnership between the two organisations. This latest three-year grant will provide core operational support to Courage to Care, enabling it to deliver on its mission and reach even more young people.

“Courage to Care delivers programs that teach students about human rights and the importance of standing up and protecting those rights. In these increasingly turbulent times, initiatives that educate about compassion, care and being upstanders are more important than ever before. The ERDI Foundation honours the memory of the late Eva and Les Erdi and is committed to treating all people with civility, humanity and respect. Our partnership with Courage to Care is a wonderful example of working together to achieve that,” said Simone Szalmuk-Singer CEO and Director of the ERDI Foundation.

“Courage to Care is delighted to have the continued support of the ERDI Foundation for the next three years. This is especially pleasing given the dramatic rise in antisemitism and racism generally we are all faced with at present.”

“ERDI’s support has been important in our success and this renewed commitment will allow us to reach more than 60,000 students across Victoria over the next three years with our Upstander education programs. We see this as a true, enduring and equal partnership to achieve our common vision of creating a generation of Upstanders.” said Mike Zervos, CEO of Courage to Care.

He added: “We also have strong support from the Department of Education and Gandel Foundation. Demand for our school programs is stronger than ever and our relationships with school strong. We have already presented education to all Brighton SC teachers (students in March), and I’m meeting with the principal at Prahran High soon.”
