Yair Miller and Rabbi Yehuda Glick

Almost 200 guests attended the ‘Enter the Story’ Gala Dinner at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, Queensland, where they enjoyed hearing guest speakers from Israel and around Australia, along with live musical entertainment.

The keynote speaker was Member of Knesset Rabbi Yehuda Glick, who was elected to the 20th Knesset as a representative of the Likud party in 2016. He serves as a member on the Knesset Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, as well as an alternate member on the Knesset’s Finance Committee and its Internal Affairs and Environment Committee.

“Israel is now a successful nation but with a massive task in terms of costs and complexity to integrate the huge number of returning Jews from a large number of nations, cultures and languages, which even eclipses the original exodus from Egypt in its magnitude,” Rabbi Glick MK said.

Other guest speakers included President Israel Allies Foundation and Director Knesset Christian Allies Caucus Joshua S. Reinstein; Assistant Treasurer The Hon. Stuart Robert MP, Chairman Keren Hayesod-UIA Friends of Israel Australia Pastor Greg Cumming and UIA Australia Federal President Harold Finger. Video greetings from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ambassador Mark Sofer were also shown.

Key guests included KH-UIA Friends of Israel representatives from Singapore, Vietnam, Netherlands, and Hong Kong, as well as UIA Australia Federal President Harold Finger, UIA Australia CEO Yair Miller , UIA Victoria Shaliach Idan Goldberger, UIA Queensland President John Scala and Queensland Jewish Board of Deputies President Paul Myers. Other notable attendees included Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate and NSW MLC The Hon. Rev. Fred Nile.

Steve Stuttle from Radio 4CRB was the MC for the event.

The award-winning Vivace Choir from Emmanuel College provided a festive atmosphere with a magnificent live choral performance.

Keren Hayesod-United Israel Appeal’s Friends of Israel Division is a network of Christians around the world who believe in the strategic importance of the State of Israel as the beginning of the fulfillment of the Divine prophecies. Based on both religions’ common Biblical heritage, they work hand-in-hand with their Jewish brothers and sisters, along with friends of Israel across the world, to support the efforts of KH-UIA to help bring the Chosen People back to the Promised Land, and ensure its safety and security.

Chairman Keren Hayesod-UIA Friends of Israel Australia Pastor Greg Cumming said: “As Christians we are eagerly awaiting the fulfilment of the Biblical prophecy and for that, the Jewish people must return from around the world ‘on our shoulders and in our arms’. It is our responsibility to Enter the Pages of the Bible by practically fulfilling this.”

UIA Australia Federal President Harold Finger remarked that “the evening was a wonderful demonstration of the brotherhood of the Jewish and Christian communities worldwide, and we are so grateful to each of those who attended – primarily for their attendance but also for any financial support they were able to provide.”
