Emirati strategist Amjad Taha on advocacy mission for peace across Australia
Prominent Emirati political strategist and journalist Amjad Taha, renowned for his work in Middle Eastern affairs, is headlining a series of events across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra this month.
Invited by JNF Australia, Taha’s visit aims to promote peace, tolerance, and cross-cultural collaboration amid a global rise in antisemitism and regional tensions. Author of “The Deception of the Arab Spring,” Taha joins forces with Jewish businessman and philanthropist Eitan Neishlos, inspired by the values of the Abraham Accords.
Taha, a UAE-based political strategist and journalist, is an influential voice in global geopolitics, recognized for his work in countering extremism and bridging cultural divides. His articles appear in Western and Arab media, offering balanced perspectives on regional issues. With over a million followers on social media, Taha promotes peace and cultural dialogue online, advocating for a collaborative Middle East. Holding a Master’s degree in International Law as well as a degree in Journalism and Politics, his insights have been featured by major media outlets including CNN, Sky News, The Guardian, all Israeli channels and leading Arab media in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
A strong advocate of peace between Arabs and Jews, Taha envisions a “Middle East 2.0” where shared stability and growth flourish. “The Abraham Accords are not merely political agreements,” Taha asserts, “they are a vision for a future of shared growth.” He urges Australia and other Western nations to adopt the Accords’ zero-tolerance stance on antisemitism and extremism.
Disturbed by displays of support for militant figures, Taha warns against Australia becoming what he calls “AustraliaStan,” arguing that extremism is “a betrayal of humanity.” Neishlos, deeply inspired by his grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, has dedicated his life to promoting tolerance and standing against prejudice.
Taha and Neishlos are meeting with Australian parliament members, lawmakers, and ambassadors. They have addressed Sydney’s Jewish community, will visit schools, and speak at events organized by JNF Australia and StandWithUs Australia. Their mission is to foster peace and build bridges between diverse communities.
Their collaboration challenges Australians to reflect on shared values of tolerance and unity. Taha and Neishlos hope to inspire policymakers, students, and the broader community to embrace dialogue and mutual respect. In a special event this Wednesday, November 6, Taha will be interviewed in Melbourne by television presenter Erin Nolan. For details and bookings, visit https://jnf.org.au/jnfuturetalk/.
