One Elder has passed away at Melbourne’s Residential Home in Windsor as a result of COVID-19.

At time of publishing:

22 Elders have tested positive. They are being made as comfortable as possible at the home and receiving care from our staff with clinical oversight from our Clinical Care Coordinator, their GPs and Alfred Health in-reach services.

11 staff members have tested positive. They are quarantining at home. We continue to provide them with support.

We are continuing to support our Elders, families and staff at Residential Home Windsor. Families are being kept up to date regarding their loved ones’ conditions and we continue to communicate with all families daily to keep them informed.

The sad loss of our Elder on Sunday 9 August underlines the seriousness of this virus for vulnerable people. We urge all Victorians to adhere to the Stage 4 restrictions to limit further spread into our aged care homes across the state. All at Jewish Care hope and pray for the recovery of our diagnosed Elders.

Families are reminded to use the dedicated call centre that has been set up: 8517 5556 or [email protected].
