As demonstrated by the Napthine Government’s strong track record over the past four years, the Victorian Coalition recognises the Jewish community’s commitment and contributions to Victoria’s economic, social and cultural life.

Over the last 4 years the Victorian Coalition Government has:

  • Delivered Community Security Group funding of $120,000 to train volunteers
  • Delivered a $1 million grant for expansion of the Lamm Jewish Library of Australia
  • Funded over $400,000 in multicultural infrastructure grants for community facilities
  • Delivered $18,840 funding for crime prevention programs and tackling antisemitic graffiti
  • Protected our community against federal changes to anti-discrimination laws in 18C
  • Combatted the BDS campaign and antisemitism in the community and university campuses
  • Launched a $2 million ‘VISITS’ fund for research and development collaboration between Israel and Victoria
  • Signed the London Declaration combatting antisemitism

A re-elected Napthine Government will deliver:

  • $500,000 to assist the redevelopment of the Jewish Holocaust Centre
  • A social cohesion fund of $1 million which Jewish school and community organisations can apply for security funding
  • $300,000 to fund the United Jewish Education Board teaching in government schools
  • $200,000 for the AJAX Football Club home ground at the David Mandie Pavilion in Albert Park

The Victorian State election will be held on November 29
