Dangerous fallout…writes Michael Kuttner
Like toxic fumes following a major disaster as witnessed by the recent massive explosions in China, inevitable poisonous pollution is already seeping forth following the Vienna fatally flawed piece of paper.
Despite a chorus of hosannas from the international choir early indications strongly suggest that the predicted calamitous results are coming home to roost and that is even before anything has been ratified, signed and sealed. Not that this would make the slightest bit of difference. Anyone with a minimum bit of common sense knows that Iran will do whatever it wants and get away with it. How do we know this? The following straws in the wind will prove the worthlessness of the Obama/Kerry sell out to the Mullahtocracy in Tehran.
I have been reading about the Spanish Civil War in the 1930’s and the failure of the League of Nations to save the struggling democratic Government of Spain from the demonic forces of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. As innocent civilians were bombed and massacred, the democracies uttered meaningless phrases and then conveniently looked the other way and did nothing. Volunteers from all over the world flocked to Spain to help the beleaguered Government forces but the very organization which was set up to protect small nations fiddled, passed worthless resolutions and basically threw Spain to the wolves. They followed a well-worn path as Ethiopia had similarly been abandoned to its fate a few years earlier.
Bear all this in mind as present day scenarios unfold in an eerie rerun of history.
A report issued this week disclosed that ISIS has used mustard gas against Kurds in Syria. It doesn’t take much imagination to realize the horrific results of this latest example of Islamic barbarity. The USA reacted by asserting it had to check the facts. This is the usual code phrase for doing nothing and sure enough the UN Security Council has done nothing other than gasp and mumble. As a member of the Council, New Zealand is complicit in this disgusting example of international apathy and impotence. Instead of working overtime to prevent genocide it seems that obsessing about Israel takes priority these days.
Likewise when news surfaced that the Syrian Government had deliberately bombed civilians at a market, killing one hundred in the process, the UN expressed “horror”. The lukewarm response merely confirms as far as the brutal perpetrators of terror are concerned that they can get away with impunity. Shades of Spanish era civil war apathy on display all over again.
The Libyan Ambassador to the UN accused the Security Council of ignoring appeals for help to stop ISIS rampaging. As Libyans are beheaded and their bodies left hanging on crosses the usual Israel accusers utter muted statements. The USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK expressed condemnations of these barbaric acts but that is as far as it goes. Condemnations are all very fine but are hardly likely to save anyone from Islamic terror. Note that there is no report of NZ having joined this meaningless chorus.
The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization speaking in Tehran stated: “Iran has won, even if Congress rejects the deal.” How very true. Billions of dollars are already starting to flow into Iranian coffers and assorted terror groups are lining up to receive funding. No prizes for guessing who the targets are likely to be. None of this fazes those who continue to sing the virtues of a deadly deal.
If you need further verification of how Iran hit the jackpot and to what purpose these funds are going to be used for, read on. If you have ever wondered why Israel finds it necessary to strictly control and inspect what flows into Hamas controlled Gaza, read what follows.
It has been revealed this week that Israel thwarted the smuggling of two tons of fiberglass cylinders into Gaza via the land crossing from Israel. The shipment concerned according to customs papers, supposedly consisted only of clothes and fabrics. The fiberglass cylinders were intended for the manufacture of long-range rockets. In a second smuggling attempt intercepted at the Kerem Shalom crossing, fiberglass threads were found hidden in a shipment of school equipment for Gaza schools. As the new school year is about to start it was anticipated that nobody would suspect an innocent looking shipment. Other intercepted items since the beginning of this year have included aquatic diving suits (used in the past by terrorists trying to infiltrate Israel from the sea), polyurethane rocket propellant materials, sulfur bars and special coal used as fuel in iron working furnaces.
Allowed unrestricted, the flow of rocket and tunnel making material would become a torrent. Enough already escapes detection via Sinai. Anyone wondering why the rebuilding of Gaza’s damaged buildings has not yet started in earnest need only witness the priority of Gaza’s leaders. Preparing the arsenal for the murder of Israelis is obviously top priority and to hell with anything else. Has anyone in Wellington or Washington woken up to this? Of course they haven’t.
Lining up to receive handouts from a newly flush Iranian regime are our “peace partners”. According to an announcement made on 15 August, “the Palestinian Authority and Fatah are working for the development of ties with Iran after an agreement was reached with the powers regarding its nuclear programme.” Confirmation as to the real objective of this cozying up to Iran is the statement by a Fatah Central Committee member who boasted that strengthening ties with Iran is an inevitable step “if we want to confront Israeli occupation.”
For those who may still be skeptical, take a look at this link (courtesy of PMW) to see exactly how the Vienna surrender to terror is about to fund the murder of Jews and Israelis.

An oft repeated mantra by Obama & Kerry is that our fears are entirely groundless and that if push comes to shove they have our back. Given already unfolding scenarios plus the certainty that the Mullahs are plotting our ultimate demise only fools and those with a visceral hatred of Jews and the Jewish State are still rooting for this poisonous deal. Unfortunately there are plenty of the former and even more of the latter.

No support or sympathy will ever be forthcoming until we ensure the world knows that the only Land we are occupying is our own Land. If that is called ‘occupation’ where should the whole world settle?
Marta,
Perhaps you, like Mr. Kuttner, choose to overlook the fact that the land “occupied” is in fact done so by local Palestinian Arabs who are being denied full civil rights accorded to the inhabitants of the other parts of the country.
THIS segregation and discrimination of the local population is the root cause of international objection to the ‘occupation’, not to mention a festering sore contaminating the morals of the entire country and especially the youth forced to stand at checkpoints etc. while sending certian people right and others left.
Israel must either annex the territory acquired in 1967, as they did with East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, or withdraw – you cannot have it both ways.
