Federal Labor MP Michael Danby has told the Australian Parliament about the events which led to the death of Jewish security guard Dan Uzan…and criticised actress Miriam Margolyes for her comments on ABC.
Uzan was the victim of a recent terrorist attack in Copenhagen. Danby criticises actress Miriam Margolyes for her statement on Israel in this weeks ABC’s “Q&A”.
He said that he wished that “the ABC had humanised the victims”.

Would you please list exactly why Ms Margolyes is wrong.
A great many in the Australian Jewish community agree with her view that attacks on Jews globally are directly the result of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.
There are at least 10 high profile US based Jewish organisations who agree with her e.g. Muzzelwatch, Jewish Voices for Peace, Code Pink, Not in Our Name, Rabbis against the Occupation etc etc
Kevin Charles Herbert: I’m not sure I should waste my time responding to you but in the vain hope that you may better understand the world of Middle East Politics (and make up YOUR own mind instead of blindly following Margolyes) and read some WORTHWHILE literature, I will respond with this. No, you are wrong about “a great many”. There is, according to reliable and educated literature, a very small number of ill-informed people who support her view. Secondly, the list of “high profile” organizations that you mention are small and insignificant and non-worthwhile compared to some great sites like: the one you are reading now, Gatestone Institute, Honest Reporting, AIJAC journal, the headlines of the New York Times rarely gets it wrong, Jewish Issues Watch, (JIW – Steven Lieblich)just to name a few.
Read Netanyahu and his policies. And then read some commentary from the despots in Iran, Iraq and other similar countries. If you are seriously stuck on what to read to try to understand why Margolyes is so toxic, unhelpful, ill-informed and misguided then reply to this comment with your email address. I will send you some more resources. She needs to grow a brain, read reliable and well-recognized literature and learn to differentiate between anti-Zionist, anti-Israel, antisemitic and just plain anti-social. You would do much better if you broke away from her dangerous diatribe and learnt some new, much more academic rhetoric.

In an otherwise excellent speech, Michael Danby cannot even bring himself to utter the words Islam or Muslim in reference to the anti-Semitic Islamic terror event in Copenhagen.
If you can’t call out the cause, you can’t address the problem.
I had so hoped that SOMEONE – ANYONE of substance had SOMETHING to say to that Pompous, ignorant actress on Q and A. We don’t need people like her saying what she is saying – especially when it is such rubbish. Read some reliable literature Miriam! You have added to the list of idiots who don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to Israeli politics.
