Cyprys “distressed” during Sydney custody

David Cyprys is in custody in Sydney and has been charged relating to a warrant issued four years ago.

He appeared by video link from the Surry Hills police station in Sydney.

His defence lawyer told magistrate Clare Farnan that Cyprys was distressed at not having religious books and undernourished with a lack of kosher food.

A bail hearing is expected next week.
