The CRC moves forward

The CEO of the NSW Community Relations has thanked Vic Alhadeff for services rendered during his short term as Chair…Alhadeff resigned after a document defending Israel bearing his name was circulated to the Jewish community.

CRC CEO Hakan Herman said:  “I acknowledge the resignation of Mr Vic Alhadeff as Chair of the Community Relations Commission of NSW (CRC).

I appreciate that his decision was made in the interests of maintaining community cohesion and protecting the good reputation of the CRC.alhadeff-290

The CRC thanks Mr Alhadeff for his service over the past six months and in particular his tireless efforts to bring communities together to promote understanding and address tensions.

The CRC will continue working to: engage with all sections of society to break down barriers to participation; enable equitable access to services and programs; and enrich our social and economic capacity through cultural diversity which is a significant asset of our state”.
