COVID fails to cancel Chanukah in Parliament

COVID-19 thinned the numbers for the annual Chanukah function at the NSW Parliament this week but among the few guests invited were Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Leader of the Opposition Jodi Mackay.

 

Rabbi Dr Ben Elton lights the menorah

The Great Synagogue’s Rabbi Dr Ben Elton lit the eight candles on the Menorah albeit using a slightly changed brocha.

Also among the guests were the member for Vaucluse Gabrielle Upton, Shadow Treasurer Walt Secord and Harry Harinath, Chair of Multicultural NSW which hosted the event.
