Country tour for Board of Deputies
Jewish emissaries will take to the country early next month when the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies undertakes its annual bridge-building road-trip of Regional NSW.
Board of Deputies CEO Vic Alhadeff and Education Manager Lynda Ben-Menashe will visit Griffith, Albury and Wagga Wagga from November 1-5, meeting with political, civic and religious leaders, addressing Rotary clubs and hundreds of school students and teachers, and speaking with media.
“Relationships matter,” Alhadeff said. “These road-trips are about engaging with sectors of influence throughout Regional NSW, which comprises a vital part of our state. It’s about breaking down barriers and generating understanding of Jewish issues and Israel, and awareness of racism and antisemitism. This is a key and ongoing aspect of our work.”
Recent Board of Deputies tours have included Parkes, Forbes, Dubbo, Mudgee, Wollongong, Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Kempsey and Armidale.
