Coronavirus on the agenda on prime ministerial phone call
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with Prime Minister Scott Morrison yesterday.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s media adviser said the two discussed ways to deal with the coronavirus and the effectiveness of the use of lockdowns in dealing with the second wave of the spread of the virus.
Prime Minister Netanyahu complimented his counterpart on the success of the lockdown in Victoria and said that Israel is starting to see preliminary results in wake of the lockdown even though the rate of morbidity is still high.
Prime Minister Netanyahu presented the opportunities stemming from the Abraham Accords and the changes in the approach toward Israel in the Arab and Muslim worlds.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not comment on the conversation.
