Ray Ginsburg AM was president of the NSW division of the NCJWA between 1964 and 1972. She served as national president from 1979 to 1985 and was made a Life Governor in 1991.

Victoria Nadel, the current president of the NCJWA NSW Division, told J-Wire: “Ray’s contribution to National Council was immeasurable. Her work in support of agunot, her involvement in establishing the NCJW War Memorial Fanny Reading Council House in Woollahra and her networking to fundraise for NCJW services and projects for both the Jewish and non Jewish Community over her lifetime were immeasurable.”

  1. I would like to thank J WIRE for doing such a lovely article on my Late grand mother Ray Ginsburg she has been a great insperation to our whole family, with her community values rubbing off on us with 2 of her Grandson currently serving in the NSW RFS (RuralFire Service) & 2 of her grandson having served previously in the NSW SES (State Emergency Service) & 5 of her great grand children currently serving in the NSW St Johns Ambulance Cadet Section. she will ALWAYS be alive with her values rubbing off on us & we hope to pass them down the family as it gets bigger & bigger.

    thank you
