Australian jazz singer Emma Pask who featured with the John Morrison Swing City Band yesterday at Sydney’s Montefiore Home Jazz in the Grounds concert was discovered as a schoolgirl singer by James Morrison. Yesterday she “discovered” another student this time from Moriah College.

The Australian star featured in the third set following Morrison’s opener and a set by the Moriah College Jazz Band. Pask was taken by Moriah’s vocalist Ella Haber and during her performance asked Haber to “come sing with me”.

Serious jazz fan Victor Grynberg was seated in the front row and also knocked out by the Moriah singer. Halfway through the rendition of Ella’s “Stormy Weather” Grynberg fired up his iPhone and recorded the video below…in time to catch the two jazz singers duetting later on “Route 66”. He told J-Wire: “In the video you can see members of the Morrison band emerging from backstage to watch  Ella’s performance.”

Following their performance Grynberg told Ella Haber: “I’ve heard great jazz singers. You are a great jazz singer.”

A spokesperson told J-Wire that the concert had been a great success with almost 400 attending the event held in the Monte grounds.
