The agreements between the partnerships of Members of Knesset Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid’s new incoming coalition were finally signed Friday morning, just two days before the swearing-in ceremony in the Knesset today [Sunday].

The agreements will be presented to the Knesset plenum on Friday, ahead of the discussion on the 36th government’s approval.

After the agreement with Meretz was signed Thursday, Yisrael Beiteinu, Ra’am (United Arab List), Yesh Atid, and Yemina followed suit, signing agreements early Friday morning. Blue and White, Labor, and New Hope must sign with Yesh Atid today, so that the new government can be sworn in on Sunday as planned.

Bennett is expected to serve as prime minister first and then Lapid is expected to replace him two and a quarter years later. There will be a total of eight parties in the coalition, the most heterogeneous combination in the country’s history.
