NSW opposition leader Chris Minns has visited OBK, the Bondi community kitchen providing humanitarian support for the needy and emergency services.

Rabbi Dovid Slavin, Steve Kamper, OBK manager George Karounis, Chris Minns, Dr Marjorie O’Neill and rebbetzin Laya Slavin
Chris Minns was accompanied by the State Labor MP for Coogee and Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism Steve Kamper to get a better understanding of the humanitarian and communal work done in OBK.
Mr Minns met with staff and volunteers and rolled his sleeves up to get into the cooking himself with the help of Rabbi Dovid Slavin and his wife, Laya.
Rabbi Slavin told Chris Minns: “The communal challenges are formidable, and the best way to succeed is when community and government work closely together.”
Rabbi Slavin told J-Wire: “Having been a first responder and with a background in community organizational work, Mr Minns had a tremendous understanding of community needs.”
