Chief Rabbi sends a message on Rabbi Ingram’s new book launch
Rabbi Chaim Ingram has received a blessing from Commonwealth United Synagogue’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis after reading extracts from Rabbi Ingram’s fifth book Lattices of Love on Jewish prayer.
Rabbis Mirvis wrote: “It is so wonderful that you continue to produce sefarim (Jewish books) with outstanding Torah essays ……I send you my very best wishes for success in all your worthy endeavours.”
Approbations were also received from other senior Rabbinic figures both in Australia and overseas.
As Rabbi Ingram makes it clear in his foreword, the book “does not aim to be a commentary on the Siddur … The general aim has been to present a collection of brief, easily readable prayer-related vignettes seeking to convey inspirational and sometimes original ideas.”
The book grew out of a series of essays produced online over the years. The ideas contained in these essays have been fine-tuned for the book and several new chapters have been added.
The book will be launched to coincide with Rabbi Ingram’s 70th birthday at a buffet tea on Sunday 26th June between 2 and 4pm at “Bet Yosef”, 243, Old South Head Road, Bondi. Copies will be available for purchase signed by the author. All are welcome.
Limited copies of Rabbi Ingram’s previous books on the parasha and the festivals will also be available..
