J-Wire presents a six-minute video of Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sack’s visit to Melbourne…courtesy Sean Meltzer.
Lord Sacks, who is the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, participated in the consecration of two new Torah scrolls for the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation.
He completed the final letter in each Torah, one donated in memory of Elijah and Esther Nelkenbaum and the other by the Segal family. In the evening, more than 800 guests attended a gala dinner at the Crown Palladium.
