Thursday evening marks New Year for the Chabad movement and Sydney’s Young Adult Chabad is hosting a farbrengen to celebrate the occasion.

The Chabad New Year marks the release from custody of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the first Rebbe of Chabad.  He had been held in prison in Russia on trumped up charges of supporting the Ottoman Empire.
