CBDChabad has launched its newest inner-city hub to serve the Jewish professionals and residents of Surry Hills in Sydney. Over a quality selection of single malt scotch, gourmet sushi platters, bagels & dips, together with a mind-blowing performance by Sydney based magician and mentalist, Ophir, an evening of networking and socialising was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.
“The launch was a great success and confirmed the need for such a service in this area…we met new people that work and live in the area, and we’re both really excited to be launching this new Jewish hub…”, said Rabbi Danny Yaffe, CEO of CBDChabad Sydney.
The first Lunch & Learn session to be held in this new location will take place on Thursday 1st August from 1pm. Taboo Jewish topics will be discussed over a gourmet Kosher lunch every Thursday at 1pm, and all are welcome to join. Rebbetzin Sara-Tova Yaffe will also be hosting a variety of women’s exclusive programs over the course of the year, as well as hosting a ‘Shmooze Zone’ where people can come and have an informal chat with the Rabbi or Rebbetzin.
For more information or to be kept in the loop about Jewish programs in Surry Hills, call 0425 152 404 or 0422 470 655.
