The Foreign Minister said:  “The Australian Government condemns this rocket attack and repeats the call for an end to all such launches from Gaza,” Senator Carr said.

“Such attacks undermine prospects for a resumption of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

“Australia reiterates its call on both sides to resume negotiations towards a two-state solution comprising an independent Palestinian state alongside a secure Israel.”

Three rockets were fired towards Israel from Gaza at around 5.30am (2.30pm AEDT) on February 26. There were no reported deaths or injuries.

All above or bellow comments are totally unfair !!!! And, sorry, I forgot to mention, they should stop ! Hang on minute, what am I doing, I also meant to say that Bob Carr knows that by making such radical statements the conflicting parties in the ME will stop everything they are doing and say: ” hang on a (another )minute that incrediby relevant guy, Bob Carr, has just called for a re-start of peace negotiations, brother, so we’d better DO IT !!!”. THAT IS why Bob Carr stopped everything else HE was doing and delivered that massively important five line statement. Just watch how the whole Middle East will just change course………………

Bob Carr friend of the Jewish community !!!!!!! All yourse la-kembah lads eat yourse hearts out !!!!!

Bob didn’t quite get around to praising Israel for its constraint in not exercising its sovereign right to retaliate. And Bob’s comments about “Palestine” Gaza fire undermining negotiations between Israel and the PA in “Palestine” Judea/Samaria is an act of deception. Firstly, Fatahland has no control over Hamastan and secondly, it implies that Israel would retaliate for fire from Gaza by refusing to negotiate. That hides the truth that Israel has always been prepared to talk with the PA, even during intense attacks from Gaza and it is the PA which is making talks conditional on Israeli concessions on final status issues. Bobs call for talks leading to a two-state solution ignores reality and is just so much purile pap.

Ho hum, did Bob say something? We’ve stopped listening to you clowns. Nobody cares what you say Bob!

  4. Joe says:

The reason they can afford those rockets because Mr Carr gave them $90 million dollars.
Most eople would do something sensible with that money, like buying food or creating work.

  5. Liat Nagar says:

The rocket attacks have been ever thus, Mr. Carr. And what a passionless, ineffective response to it, especially when you end up with the same old sentence at the end calling on both parties to negotiate a peace settlement towards … blah, blah, blah. If this is all you can say, and in such a way, then please don’t bother,

  6. David says:

Will Carr now deliver the same canned message every time there is a rocket attack? No, he is playing petty politics, thinking he can win some cheap brownie points (and maybe some votes) from the Jewish community. Sorry Bob, you lost me long ago.

Don’t tell me that Bob has woken from his slumber!!
