David Raphael Kaetz is offering an evening of songs, Hasidic niggunim and storytelling, klezmer music, and lots of humour at Temple Sinai, on Monday, 1 February 2010.

David is a Canadian musician, writer, storyteller, and practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method. He is visiting New Zealand in

connection with his teaching and writing.

David accompanies his songs & storytelling on a remarkable new instrument, invented only ten years ago, called the HANG. You can hear samples of David’s hang playing on his website: www.davidraphaelkaetz.com. There you

can also hear some of his klezmer compositions on clarinet, & much more.

David has 2 new CDs, recently recorded in Oslo, Norway, which will be available at the concert, as well as a recording by his Canadian “western klezmer swing” ensemble, BLUE KLEZMER MOON.

Entrance to the concert is by donation, to assist with travel costs.

Temple Sinai, 147 Ghuznee St, Wellington  7 p.m.
