A Record of Honour for Jewish war veterans of the United Kingdom is being compiled in England.

Martin Sugarman, Archivist of AJEX (Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women) is seeking information about Jews of the Commonwealth who served in the Merchant Navy in WW2.

Sugarman, who is based in London,  told J-Wire he has had a good response from Canada and the UK from both survivors and their children and collected around 600 names so far.

He has yet to hear from anyone in Australia and South Africa.
