This is the eighth Paralympic medal Matt has won over the four Paralympic Games in which he has competed.

He told ABC: “At the end of the day, it is not just about what we start with, but it’s what we end with and all the other things in between. For me, I guess it’s about living your own life and what you can do day in, day out.”

Matt won Gold in the London Olympics in 2016 and was awarded an OAM.
