Breaking: Israeli division begins ‘limited ground operation’ in Lebanon
On Monday night, the forces of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) 146th “Ha-Mapatz” Division including the 2nd “Carmeli” Brigade and the 205th “Iron Fist” brigade began a “focused and limited ground operation” in the western sector of South Lebanon.
They are moving against targets and terrorist infrastructures of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, this after about a year in which the division conducted a defensive battle on Israel’s northwestern border.
The “”Ha-Mapatz” Division is the first reserve division to be used in combat in southern Lebanon as part of the “Northern Arrows” operation against Hezbollah. The division’s headquarters functioned during the past year as a spatial defence division, and its forces were mobilized for various combat missions in the north, in Gaza and in the Judea and Samaria region.
The forces are now operating under the escort of artillery forces of the 213th Artillery Formation and other forces, in order to uncover enemy infrastructures and destroy them.
