Years 11 and 12 BJE students recently visited the Sydney Jewish Museum where they were privileged to be taken on a tour by Holocaust survivor Lottie Weiss.

Jessica Kreyman, Sean Joffe and Shylee Binder

She  gave them an invaluable insight into her experiences and survival during the war. For many students it was their first time visiting the Museum, and so this visit was especially meaningful. For others who have visited the Museum previously, it provided them with an opportunity to solidify their understanding of the events of the Holocaust by allowing them to meet, in a dignified and moving environment, people who were involved in this period of history and to discuss their experiences firsthand.
