Sydney BJE students have returned from their trip to Israel…ready to participate in community projects.

BJE students in ISrael

From the desert in the south of Eilat all the way up to the snow in Tzfat in the north, BJE students who were on the Emet Israel Program had the experience of a lifetime travelling the length and breadth of Israel learning firsthand about the life, history and culture of this remarkable country.  They saw places and learned about many aspects of Israel that they had only previously seen in pictures or read in books.

The students were split into two groups – one group experienced the life of a soldier in the Gadna program, and the other group were billeted with families in the Arava region and experienced life there, including volunteering with young children at their schools.

The students found their own connection to Judaism, and returned home fulfilled and enriched by their experiences, and realising the importance of Judaism in the community.  The group will now volunteer in different communal areas.

If you have a student who is in Year 10 this year, and would like to be a part of this amazing journey, please e-mail Eytan Moria on:
