Fifteen year 10 students from Sydney are participating in the Board of Jewish Education’s Discover Israel Program.

En route

The students will spend  six weeks  in the care of the Muss High School, an international school which specialises in programs for children who do not attend Jewish schools having limited access to Jewish education.   They will be involved in a wide range of programs and activities ranging from learning about about Judaism from ancient to modern day, to the economics and geography of Israel, including visits to many of the historical and cultural sites that Israel is famous for.

They will also be billeted with families from the Arava region in the desert so that they will experience a side of Israeli family life other than life in the suburbs.

Academy BJE’s Amy Goldman, is leading the group, and she said they are a particularly enthusiastic group of young people, who are eagerly anticipating having an exhilarating and unforgettable fulfilling experience.
