Bennett praises Jewish organizations for Ukrainian relief efforts
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett sent a letter to leaders of the Keren Hayesod-United Israel Appeal, the Jewish Federations of North America and the Jewish Agency for Israel, praising them for their efforts to help the Jewish community in Ukraine while war with Russia rages through their country.

“I am writing to you and your organizations at this time of global crisis as leaders and representatives of the worldwide Jewish community,” Bennett wrote in his letter. “Keren Hayesod-UIA, JFNA and the Jewish Agency have always supported their brothers and sisters around the world whenever there has been a need, and I am proud that now there is also an independent Jewish state that can join you in taking responsibility for our fellow Jews.”
He added: “Please accept the thanks and gratitude of the government and the entire State of Israel, and with God’s help, we will continue to work together to save lives. We are praying for peace and an end to the fighting.”
The Jewish Agency opened six aliyah-processing stations at the borders of Ukraine and Poland, Moldova, Romania and Hungary to help Jews who want to immigrate to Israel.
The Jewish Federations of North America announced on March 4 that they have raised and will distribute $8 million of a $20 million goal to provide humanitarian relief to the Jewish community of Ukraine.
