Bennett Interview
Leading journalist and commentator Paul Sheehan will interview Israeli Minister Naftali Bennett at a public meeting at Sydney’s Central Synagogue on Sunday night.
Sheehan, a columnist on the Sydney Morning Herald, will conduct a Q and A session with Bennett after the latter has delivered a formal presentation to the expected 1000-strong audience.
Bennett is the leader of the newly-created Jewish Home party – the fourth-largest party in the Knesset – and Israel’s Minister of Economy, Diaspora and Jerusalem Affairs. Before entering politics, he was a commander in the elite Israel Defence Force unit Sayeret Matkal, after which he built up a business career in the IT sector.
The public meeting is being hosted jointly by the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, NSW United Israel Appeal, Zionist Council of NSW and Central Synagogue.
It will be held on Sunday night December 8 at 8pm. Inquiries: 9360 1600.
