BDS vote a non-event

An expected counter-motion to last month’s pro-BDS resolution at the University of Sydney did not go to the vote on Wednesday night because the Student Representative Council meeting did not reach a quorum.
“They were down by three people, so the meeting did not go ahead,” said AUJS NSW president Nicola Kobilski. “This was mainly due to Grassroots [a leftist faction] not attending.”

The SRC voted last month to support a boycott of the university’s academic ties with the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa.

This means the resolution remains in place but without the support of the university itself.

I’ll be in for that. Good one Sean

Lucky the SRC were off playing with their iphones, iPads, computers or having a medical intervention somewhere on Israeli designed equipment or maybe enjoying a good bowl of chicken soup in Bondi.
