The Israel Ministry of Tourism today has hosted a short tour of ancient Caesarea with the legends of FC Barcelona.

In addition to the tour, the players enjoyed lunch and a wine-tasting, from local vineyards. During the tour, the players were photographed against the backdrop of the unique view in Caesarea and enjoyed one of the many and varied tourist experiences that Israel has to offer. The players toured the Visitors Centre, the Hippodrome, Herod’s Palace and the promenade within the Caesarea National Park.

The football giants’ visit is an opportunity for the ministry to continue to market Israel, even during these challenging times, through the cumulative social media reach of hundreds of millions of followers of each footballing legend. With the spread of the pandemic, the ministry has taken many actions to maintain its marketing channels, nurtured over many years, to present Israel as an attractive tourist destination in the minds of potential tourists. The tour is part of a series of other international events in which the ministry participates in order to show the world that Israel continues its daily routine, while at the same time maintaining the health of its citizens.

The group arrived in Israel in advance of El Clasico, the match between the legends of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid which will take place in Bloomfield Stadium on Thursday at 20:00 local time. Several hours before the match, the players will have a short tour of Tel Aviv, hosted by Tel Aviv Global and Tourism from the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality.
