Barca chief plants a tree

Joan Laporta, current president of the world-famous Barcelona Football Club, has been hosted by the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) at an honorary tree planting ceremony at KKL-JNF’s Eshtaol Forest.

Laporta said:  “The Barcelona football club, and myself, feel highly privileged to share this bond and cooperation with KKL-JNF, taking part in one of the most important activities KKL-JNF is in charge with – tree planting.”

Last night Laporte attended the El Clásico, which took place at Israel’s Bloomfield Stadium. Yesterday’s game featured all-time legends from both Barcelona FC and Real Madrid, including Rivaldo, Javier Saviola, Deco, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo.
