The Australian Centre for Leadership for Women has recognised the Jewish Taskforce Against Family Violence(JTAFV) by presenting them with the ‘Sustaining Women Empowerment in Communities and Organsations (SWECO) Gold award.

Presentations were made by Dr Diann Rodgers-Healy, Executive Director “ACLW”, The Honourable Prue Goward , The Honourable Victor Dominello Minister for Citizenship and Communities and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.

The Award, the highest recognition presented on the night,  acknowledged the ground-breaking publication “Will My Rabbi Believe Me? Will He Understand?  Responding to family violence in a Rabbinic context.

The book was developed as a training resource and reference for Rabbis, and is recognised internationally. It was compiled by the JTAFV in collaboration with the Rabbinical Council of Victoria.

The ceremony was held in Parliament House, Sydney to mark International Women’s Day and was the perfect opportunity to launch the book “Considerations For Australia’s Next Woman Prime Minister” compiled by Dr Diann Rodgers-Healy.
