Australian Woman Stabbed to Death in Tel Aviv

An Australian woman has been found fatally stabbed in a room in Tel Aviv’s Dan Panorama hotel.

Ha-aretz has reported that her partner, also an Australian tourist, has been arrested on “suspicion of involvement in her murder”.

The woman’s identity has not been disclosed. She is understood to have been 54 years old and was found on the 15th floor of the luxury hotel with severe stab wounds to her upper body and neck.

The partner arrested on suspicion of his involvement in the murder is also 54.

The body was found by hotel security staff following an alert from other guests who heard shouting coming from the room. The hotel’s security manager opened the door of the room to sight the woman lying on the floor with her husband by her side.
