Australian government condems attacks on Israeli diplomats

In a statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Australia has condemned the attacks on Israeli diplomat in India and Georgia.

The statement reads:

Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd

The Australian Government strongly condemns the bombing of an Israeli diplomatic vehicle in New Delhi, India, and the attempted bombing of another Israeli embassy vehicle in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The attacks occurred on Monday, 13 February.

Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd said Australia was appalled by the attacks against Israeli embassy staff in New Delhi and Tbilisi.

“Our thoughts are with the injured and their loved ones,” said Mr Rudd.

“We strongly condemn acts of terrorism in all forms and urge the authorities in India and Georgia to investigate these serious and deliberate acts of violence against Israeli diplomatic staff.”
