The last living liberator of Auschwitz, David Dushman, the man they called ‘The Hero of Auschwitz’ has died at age 98.

As a young Jewish Soviet soldier, Dushman drove his tank through the barbed wire fence of Auschwitz on the afternoon of 27 January 1945, liberating the survivors of that most notorious Nazi death camp. He passed away In Germany
