Apr-20 Melbourne: Yom Hashoah Commemoration: together in isolation
In place of the traditional communal gathering at Robert Blackwood Hall, we invite individuals and families to bring memorial candles to their living rooms and collectively remember Yom Hashoah with two important events on Monday 20 April.

The Jewish Holocaust Centre, with support from J-Air, is putting together a very special community broadcast, including a powerful survivor testimony and a poignant candle-lighting featuring Holocaust survivors sharing messages from their isolation.
As the sun sets, heralding the start of Yom Hashoah, let us remember, together.

• Turning Memory into Action [VIRTUAL GATHERING @ 6-6.45pm via ZOOM]
LaunchPad are hosting the first-ever virtual Yom HaShoah gathering to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day, in partnership with the Jewish Holocaust Centre.
This is an interactive event where we will be exploring the preservation of memory and the ways in which we can be custodians of our family stories. Listen to three generations exploring the impact of the Holocaust. Towards the end of the event, we will each light a candle together as a community.
