236 Australian Jews currently on programs in Israel will assemble at Mount Scopus in Jerusalem to commemorate Anzac Day.

Apart from 16 leaders, the group will comprise of young Australians on Machon, the AUJS Aviv program, the Maccabi Sports Leadership Program and Israel by Choice.

Wreaths will be laid by each of the participating groups following a guided tour of Mount Scopus and a lecture in the history of the part ANZAC forces played in the liberation of Palestine during the First World War.

Following the ceremony on April 25, the JNF will organise a tour of Australian projects in the Jerusalem area.

Australian ambassador to Israel Andrea Faulkner is expected to be attending the ceremony.
